Oracle EBS ERP Manager
This manager owns and manages a functional team of 2 supply chain & 1 Financial Oracle EBS Analysts
This manager must have functional / analytical depth in Oracle EBS 
1 monolithic EBS - 12-13 operating companies
run all Oracle EBS
Manager leadership position - mentor coach 3 full time and 11 contract
Interface with external business customers and internal operating companies
Own all Oracle EBS - finance, Acct, HR, Reporting 
They use external managed services (unknown 3rd party outsource) for technical EBS development
PERSONALITY is KEY = outgoing and engaging with customers
Order Management, Inventory Management and Supply Chain modules is equally important as the Financial modules

FORMAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Oracle ERP Manager will support the functional and technical needs of the Oracle EBS and associated systems. Reporting to the Director of Applications, the incumbent will lead a team consisting of contract as well as full time resources to support a global user base. The incumbent will also develop strategies for the growth of the Oracle EBS system both from a functional and technical perspective. The ERP system is used by most of the Operating Companies and has a global footprint. The modules in use are Finance (AP, AR, GL, Tax, Cost), Order Management, Supply Chain (Inventory, Item Cost), Manufacturing (MRP, Demand/Supply Planning) and EIS Reporting tool.

• Serve as the functional and technical expert of the Oracle EBS ERP system for the company.
• Work collaboratively with internal customers, functional and development teams on projects and support work related to the ERP ecosystem.
• Lead meetings with user groups, super users, process experts, functional leaders frequently to discuss issues/ideas and changes needed.
• Analyze the business requirements of all internal departments to standardize/improve business practices, processes, procedures using the ERP system.
• Develop business cases and lead the implementation of such projects working closely with the PMO team. Support the associated change management needs of the organization including training to the users.
• Lead the projects for software upgrades, revisions, patches and fixes mandated by Oracle
• Assist in the resolution of complex problems and root-cause analysis for Oracle ERP related issues.
• Be accountable for the SLAs for uptime and performance of Oracle system.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Perform configuration and setup changes (functional) in the ERP system.
• Adhere to the change controls and actively participate in controls.
• Lead a team of Functional Analysts, Technical developers and administrators and EIS Report developer (contract and full-time).
• Provide expertise and proactive advice of the Oracle EBS features to internal business leaders that can enable continuous improvement of their business processes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues with the Oracle EBS system (Functional and Technical).

Education, Licensing, and Certifications:
Required
Four year college or university degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related field.
 
Preferred
Master’s degree in Business Administration
Oracle ERP related trainings and certifications

Experience:
Required
• Seven or more years of relevant experience in the functional leadership of Oracle EBS.
• Strong functional knowledge of Finance (GL, AR, AP), Order Management, Engineering (Items, BOMs, Routings), Cash Management, Item Cost Management, Tax modules, MRP, Inventory and related Supply Chain modules of the Oracle EBS system.
• Five or more years of experience in the technical leadership of Oracle EBS including upgrades, patches, system stabilization, high availability management, root cause analysis etc;.
• Three years or more of leading functional Oracle EBS teams consisting of full time employees.
• Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
• Proficient the technical knowledge of the Oracle EBS system including its core database table structures and usage of PL/SQL.
